Sounds of Rain

Years (many, many) I went to Radio City Music Hall and one of the things they did was have us listen to the way they simulated certain sounds on the radio. They did it first without us seeing what they were doing and then opened a curtain so that we could see what was making the sounds. It was amazing!

They just used ordinary things to simulate the sounds of horses trotting, bacon frying, thunder and much more.
